Fall French Toast (with brown sugar & apple syrup)

During the fall season there’s an air of peacefulness, of home, and of comfort. People are lighting fall candles, taking out the winter blankets and making their favorite holiday recipes. Every holiday season I am excited to make my “famous” French Toast. This is the same French Toast recipe…I tend to stick to the one that I love most. The brown sugar & apple syrup is optiounal but highly recommended to give it the perfect taste for fall.



2 eggs

4 slices of white bread

A splash of almond milk (or regular)

Dash or 2 of cinnamon

Drop or 2 of vanilla extract

Brown Sugar & Apple Syrup


About 1/2-1 cup brown sugar

About 1/2 cup water

8 small-medium apples

20181005_114239.jpgChop apples into 1 inch slices. Put water, brown sugar and apples into a deep frying pan. Turn the heat to medium high.

In a bowl stir eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Turn a different frying pan on medium and add butter to lightly grease the pan.

20181005_192352.jpgCheck on your apple syrup… adjust heat if necessary.

Dip a bread slice in the French Toast mixture, making sure each side is coated, than gently place on the buttered frying pan. Repeat.

Be paitent! You want your French Toast cooked thoroughly, so it’s a light brown and slightly crispy.¬†Your brown sugar and water should turn into a nice syrup consistency.
